Of frozen moments and sand boxes....
Do you ever feel like you grew up way to quickly? I mean, all it takes is one tough circumstance that no one should have to go through and suddenly overnight you have become an adult. Understanding things that a child should never have to understand, and carrying an invisable burden that no one should have. It's easy to tell who you are most days - it just takes one look into your eyes, and I can see the pain burried deep under the laughter. You have learned to function in the real world - and somedays you almost forget about the burden that is in your eyes and across your shoulders. You forget when you avoid the mirrors, and those are the blissful moments that you want to freeze. The moment you know will pass, and yet your child-like side emerges, and you want to grasp those seconds, freeze them and never let them go.
Some of us live for those moments; they are what keeps us going and carrying our burdens. Others have given up hope of those moments, and have faced what they would call "The Real World."
Please God - no matter what happens, don't let me become bitter.

I wish the Real World actually existed.
